When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected vibrant coral reefs. And I found them. But I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **A Shipwreck Dive**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a typical dive; this was exploration into the past.

I'll admit, I felt nervous. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive** was fantastic. Their PADI instructors provided a very thorough safety briefing. We covered safety protocols, the story of the sunken ship, and what we would see. The fact we were in a small group immediately made me feel safe.

Descending was unforgettable. At first, it was just a dark shape in the distance, and then the ship appeared. It was check here huge. The ship is now a bustling artificial reef, covered in soft corals and teeming with marine life. We saw big groupers peeking from the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers hiding in the cracks. The feeling of swimming alongside this giant, silent vessel is indescribable—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling at the same time. It's a time capsule on the seabed.

If you're an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot urge you this **dive** enough. It was the absolute highlight of my Vietnam trip. A massive thank you to the **Amadive Con Dao** crew for their expertise and for making this unforgettable experience so memorable.
